Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) released advertisement for Junior Engineer posts. Selection of these posts is done through 2 stage objective type examination held at various centers of all RRBs followed by document verification and medical.
Railway Junior Engineer Salary 2024 Pay Scale
A newly recruited candidate is placed in level 6 of the 7th CPC pay scale Starting from Rs. 35400. In this Scale I, salary of fresh selected Junior Engineer will be around Rs. 56500 to Rs. 62500 depending on the allowances given.
RRB JE Salary Structure:
Post Names: For Junior Engineer (JE), Junior Engineer (Information Technology) [JE(IT)], Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA):
Basic Pay = Rs. 35400
A newly recruited Junior Engineers in Indian Railway is given:
- Total Salary: Rs. 56500-62500 per month.
- Deductions – around Rs. 5500.
- Net in Hand RRB JE salary 2024: Rs. 51000-57500 per month.
Dearness Allowance: 50% (applicable from January 2024)
House Rent Allowance (HRA) is different for various class of cities.
- Class X cities (Metro Cities) – 24% of Basic pay
- Class Y cities (Other Big Cities than Metro) – 16% of Basic pay
- Class Z cities (Rural and Small Cities) – 8% of Basic pay
Other Allowances as applicable for this post as per rules of Indian Railways.
Several allowances are given to Railway Junior Engineers including Medical allowance, CCA, HRA, TA etc. Newly selected candidates have to undergo training in which they are given stipend as applicable.
