Bihar Police Sub-ordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) released advertisemenet no. 02/2023 for filling 1275 posts of Police Sub Inspector (Avar Nirikshak) through direct recruitment. These regular posts will be filled under Home Department of the state. Bihar Police Sub Inspector (SI) Pay Scale
After appointment on this government job permanent post through BPSSC, candidate will be given salary as per Pay Scale Level 6 (Rs. 35400-112400) of Bihar Pay Matrix.
The Starting basic pay in this Level is Rs. 35400 per month given to new candidates. Maximum basic pay that this post can be given is Rs. 112400 per month on 40th increment.
Total salary is the addition of Basic Pay and all allowances given for the post i.e. Dearness allowance (DA), HRA and Other Allowances (as applicable). When taxes gets deducted from it, Net salary will come out.
BPSSC SI Salary 2024 per month
- Pay Scale: Level 6 of Pay Matrix of Bihar (Rs. 35400-112400)
- Starting Basic Pay for new appointments: Rs. 35400 per month
- Total Salary (in starting) per month: Around Rs. 55200-61200 per month depending on area of posting and allowances.
- Net In Hand Salary after cutting deductions (NPS & Taxes): Rs. 50200-56200 per month
Allowances given:
- Dearness allowance (42% of Basic pay i.e. Rs. 14868/-)
- House Rent Allowance (HRA) depending on posting area
- Other allowances, NPS (pension) and other benefits, as applicable from time to time, as per rules of Bihar govt.
Bihar Police Sub Inspector Salary gets increased every six month thanks to increment in dearness allowance (DA) by the government and increments given as per rules. Candidate gets yearly increment in basic pay i.e. Rs. 35400, in starting, to 36500 next year till it reaches its maximum i.e. Rs. 112400. Also they will be promoted to higher ranks (inspector, SHO etc.) after years of service.
There will be huge competition among young candidates for grabbing these posts. Not only they have to qualify Preliminary and Main exams with sufficient marks but also qualifying physical test (PET & PST) is required. On joining, candidates have to provide medical and character certificates etc. to the department.
