Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) released advertisement no. 08-Exam/2022 for Combined Junior Assistant Main Exam for which forms are to be filled from 21 November to 14 December 2022. For applying, a PET Qualified candidate has to be of 18-40 years of age and 12th pass with typing speed of 30 wpm in English and 25 wpm in Hindi and computer certificate from DOEACC (CCC). Selection process consists of written exam of 130 marks.

As per latest advt, a fresh appointed candidate for Junior Assistant post gets salary as per Pay Band Rs. 5200-20200 Grade pay Rs. 2000 in the level 3 of Uttar Pradesh pay matrix. The starting basic pay in this level is Rs. 21700 per month. Maximum basic pay that can be given on this post after 40 increments will be Rs. 69100 per month. Total salary can be calculated by after adding all allowances to basic pay.
UP Junior Assistant Salary Structure 2024 @42% DA:
- Total salary in starting for new appointments on permanent posts: Rs. 33500-37300 per month.
- Deductions : Around Rs. 3000
- Net in hand salary : around Rs. 30500-34300 per month.
Allowances will decide whether salary will be higher or lower. For example, HRA will be higher in Class X cities (population above 50 Lakh) and lower in class Z cities (population below 5 lakh).
- Dearness Allowance: 42% of basic pay i.e. Rs. 9114
- House Rent Allowance (HRA): depending on city class.
- other allowances as applicable.
The revision in Dearness allowance is done by UP Govt every six month in adjustment to inflation. Also increment in basic pay is done every year which increases their total salary. Also candidate will get promoted to higher posts after some years of service.
