Staff Selection Commission (SSC) releases advertisement for the recruitment of Sub-Inspectors (SI) in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). Selection of candidates is done through Paper-I, Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Endurance Test (PET), Paper-II and Detailed Medical Examination (DME).
SSC SI Pay Scale
Upon appointment to these posts, candidate is placed in 7th CPC Level 6: Rs.35,400-1,12,400/- (equivalent to Rs. 9300-34800 Grade Pay 4200) with starting basic pay of Rs. 35400 per month. Last basic pay on this post is Rs. 112400 per month.
Sub Inspector posts are filled in following CAPFs:
- Border Security Force (BSF)
- Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)
- Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)
- Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)
- Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)

SSC SI Salary 2024 (Delhi Police / CAPFs) per month
- Total Salary in starting for newly joining candidates: Rs. 54100-60100 per month
- Net in hand Salary after deductions : Rs. 49100-55100 per month
Allowances:
- Dearness Allowance : 42% of basic pay from January 2023
- HRA: 27% of basic pay for Metro / big Class X cities like Delhi, 18% of basic
pay for Class Y cities and 9% of basic pay for Class Z cities / rural
areas. - Other allowances as applicable from time to time and not included in above given salary.
