ICAR Technician Salary 2024 Pay Scale

Here you can check ICAR Technician Salary 2024 per month (total and net) and pay scale. IARI under administrative control of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) conduct CBT exam to select candidates for Technician posts.

Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) has invited applications for 936 posts of Technician (T-1) under Direct Recruitment in Pay Level-3 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix at ICAR Research Institutes in accordance with rules.

Those candidates who got Selected, will have to complete one year (01 Year) on-the-job training provided by the respective Institutes to the selected candidates. If they fails to complete the training successfully then regular appointment may not be considered.

After successful completion of the one year training, a certificate to this effect will be provided by the Director of the concerned Institute.

During training, they would be called as “Technical Trainee” and they may be allowed to avail Institute facilities like transport/canteen/dispensary/library etc. but not any kind of leave. Training period may be extended by a maximum six months.

If candidate fails in training, then he/she may not be considered for regular appointment. During training, candidate will be given stipend as per rules of ICAR. Those who complete training successfully, will be given pay scale as mentioned below.

After training of Technician (T-1) post, candidate will be given Salary as per Pay Matrix Level 3 of 7th Pay Matrix. The pay scale mentioned in the advertisement of ICAR Technician posts is Level 3 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix i.e. Rs. 21700-69100 equivalent to Pay Band 1 Rs. 5200-20200 Grade Pay Rs. 2000.

The starting basic pay of ICAR Technician is Rs. 21700 per month. Total salary is calculated by adding DA, HRA etc. allowances to this basic pay. Net in Hand salary gets credited to candidate’s bank account after deducting NPS and other taxes. You can find this information below in detail.

• Dearness Allowance: 42% of basic pay i.e. Rs. 9114 (already added in total salary given above)
• House Rent Allowance (HRA) : 9 to 27 percent of basic pay.
• HRA depends on place of posting of candidate. It will be 27% of basic pay for metro cities (Class-X cities), 18% of basic pay for cities with population between 5-50 lakh (Class-Y cities) and 9% for areas with population below 5 lakh. HRA will be minimum Rs. 5400, Rs. 3600 and Rs 1800 for X, Y and Z cities
• Other Allowances includes Travel Allowance, CCA if applicable.

ICAR has advertised for 641 Technician (T-1) Posts. 10th pass Candidates with age between 18-30 years (for unreserved) can apply for these posts up to 20 February 2022. Selection of candidates is to be done through Computer Based Test/Examination having 100 questions carrying 100 marks and 90 minutes duration.
